PRP ( Platelet Rich Plasma)  is a treatment that uses your own concentrated blood plasma to stimulate dormant hair follicles, encouraging them to become active again and promote new hair growth. It also nourishes the hair follicles to strengthen them, helping to resolve hair thinning and hair loss over the long term, giving your hair a fuller appearance without the need for surgery.

Our Unique Hair PRP program extracts Growth Factors from your plasma using advanced techniques, which are then re-injected into the scalp to stimulate the hair follicles, encouraging them to grow back strong, thick, and healthy.

Indications for PRP Hair Treatment

  • Treatment for mild to moderate alopecia: PRP is commonly used to treat thinning hair or in women seeking to promote hair regrowth after pregnancy.
  • Stimulating regrowth after a hair transplant: PRP treatment is recommended as a complementary treatment to enhance hair regrowth after a hair transplant by stimulating the hair follicles.
  • Slowing progression of androgenetic alopecia: In early stages of hair loss, PRP is ideal for slowing down the progression of androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss) in both men and women.

Steps for PRP Hair Treatment:

  1. Consultation and Evaluation:
    – You will need to consult with a doctor to assess the condition of your scalp and your hair loss issue. The doctor will evaluate your overall health and hair growth trends to determine if PRP treatment is suitable for you.
  2. Preparation Before PRP:
    – The doctor will take a blood sample from you by drawing blood from your arm to extract platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
    – The blood is then placed in a centrifuge machine to separate the plasma that is rich in platelets.
  3. Injection of PRP into the Scalp:
    – After the PRP is extracted, the doctor will inject it into the areas of the scalp where hair loss or thinning is occurring, using a small needle to minimize discomfort or pain.
  4. Post-PRP Recovery:
    – There is no long recovery time after PRP treatment. You can return to your daily activities as usual.
    – There might be slight swelling or redness on the scalp, which should subside within a few hours to a couple of days.
  5. Results and Follow-up:
    – After the PRP treatment, you may start seeing noticeable results within 2-3 months as hair begins to regrow and thicken.
    – Regular treatments every 4-6 months may be recommended for long-lasting results.

PRP is a safe, minimally invasive procedure with minimal pain, but it’s important to choose a clinic with experienced doctors to ensure the best results.

Who Is A Good Candidate For PRP Hair Treatment

  • Experience hair thinning: Especially those with diffuse thinning (across the scalp).
  • Suffer from hair loss: Including pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) for both men and women.
  • Have fine, weak, or brittle hair: Those who notice that their hair is becoming finer or weaker over time.
  • Have a receding hairline or thinning crown: For individuals experiencing thinning or visible scalp in the crown area or along the hairline.
  • Want to avoid surgical hair restoration: Those who prefer a non-invasive treatment option instead of hair transplant surgery.
  • Have recently undergone hair transplant surgery: To improve hair growth results and promote healing.
  • Suffer from hair loss due to stress, lifestyle, or medical conditions: Such as alopecia areata, telogen effluvium, or hair loss post-pregnancy.

PRP can help stimulate hair follicles and improve overall hair health by increasing blood circulation and delivering growth factors.

Contraindications for PRP HairTreatment:

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Individuals currently taking blood-thinning or anticoagulant medications
  • Patients with anemia or blood disorders, such as low platelet count
  • Patients experiencing a blood infection (sepsis)
  • Skin conditions with inflammation or infection on the scalp, such as fungal infections
  • A history of rashes or allergic reactions after previous PRP injections

Is PRP Hair Treatment Useful After a Hair Transplant?

PRP Hair Treatment is often recommended to be done alongside a hair transplant because it can help accelerate recovery and promote the growth of newly transplanted hair, as well as support the regrowth of hair.

Doctors may recommend doing PRP Hair Treatment about 1 month before the transplant for those with weak hair. After the transplant, it’s advisable to undergo 3 consecutive treatments within 2 months, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. The results can last up to 1 year (results vary depending on the individual).

Important to know: The results of PRP Hair Treatment are temporary. Maintenance sessions are needed 1-2 times per year. This treatment is generally considered safe and can be done throughout your lifetime.

Although PRP treatment for hair loss is considered quite effective, it cannot be compared to hair transplants
